On this episode of ‘In Your 20s’, Lyndi Harris along with Lindsey Imboden (not to be confused), discuss the differences in the phases of life you can face while being the same age as other peers.
Some friends are having babies, and others are traveling the world and documenting it all.
There is so much that stereotypically happens in your 20s, but not everyone is on the same timeline. You don’t hit 24 and automatically meet the love of your life or get your dream job. Oftentimes, there are bumps in the road that slow you down.
We have been friends for a decade. With that, we get the privilege to watch old and new friends achieve their dreams. However, we aren’t there yet.
Entering the medical field, Lindsey has dealt with a lot of treatment towards her as a woman that should not be tolerated, but we ask the questions:
- How do you get taken seriously when you’re only 22?
- Why is it hard for people to accept that young women can have careers?
- Is it really necessary to have babies before a career?
- Do you really have to know what you want to do with the rest of your life at 22?
Sometimes this can feel like you’re not doing enough with your life, and comparison can diminish the confidence you have in yourself. This is not the case though.
From marriage to graduate school, to dream jobs or not-so-dream jobs, Lindsey and Lyndi cover all bases of the expected milestones to take place in your 20s!
