Marriage to a college guy is a topic one simply doesn’t broach. It’s out of the question at this stage of the game. “I just want to party with my friends, meet all the girls I can, play the field maaaan!” I get it – getting married is a scary subject.

In the third installment of “How to Get the Girl,” we don’t just hear from a married couple…we hear from a married COLLEGE couple. Mind. Blown.

My friends Maddie and Patrick Cobb tied the knot in 2021, having only dated since 2020. I’m going to quiz Maddie on how she knew Patrick was “the one”, and I’m going to quiz Patrick on why he chose to propose so quickly. Many would say they signed their lives away, but clearly, their relationship was strong enough that they felt this was the right decision.

My mission? To uncover (for all the guys out there) what marriage is really like, and what early signs in a relationship can indicate the potential for marriage. Because that’s the whole point of dating, right? Why waste time on someone who isn’t going to be with you, support you, and love you forever?
