As you heard on Episode 1, here at Nights On Northgate, we interview bike cops, bouncers, bartenders, and boozers on how to make your Nights On Northgate as fun and safe as possible.

Since you’ve already heard from the bouncers, bartenders, and boozers, we’ve decided to do an entire episode hearing from the bike cops of Northgate.

In episode 2, we will speak with the College Station Police Department and Parks and Tourism Department to learn the Do’s, Don’ts, and how to have a safe night on Northgate.

For the “Girlies”

As a female in College Station, I want to ensure my “girls night out” is as safe as possible, even though we will have too much fun. The world is crazy these days, and there’s no telling what sticky situations you might find yourself in. 

For my female listeners, I’ve decided to talk with the police officers about how a group of girls can stay safe during a night out. 

We will be discussing topics like how to drink safely, using transportation such as Uber, which bars are believed to be the safest, and how to find help from a police officer if it’s needed. 

Bike Cops POV

For the last part of episode two, I want to get to know the Northgate bike cops on a deeper level. And no, I don’t mean the typical “How many kids do you have?” “Where did you grow up?” questions. I plan on asking them, “What has your craziest experience been on Northgate?”

If they can share this information with us, I hope it will be entertaining and possibly educational on what not to do during your Nights On Northgate.

Welcome to College Station! You’re a freshman at Texas A&M, and you’re so excited for fun nights out with your friends on Northgate. But where do you begin? That’s where the “Nights On Northgate” podcast comes into play. 

This podcast will explain the tips and tricks from behind the bar to make your nights of “bar crawling” the best they can be. 

In episode 1, we will talk to a few managers, bartenders, and other employees working at College Stations’ favorite bars. They will be explaining their “Nights On Northgate” from a different point of view than what our listeners are used to. 

Sips and Secrets at Chimy’s Cerveceria: 

Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the secrets behind the faces of Chimy’s Cerveceria. Together we will explain what a typical weekend night looks like at Chimy’s, the bartenders’ drink of choice, the most popular drink/shot, and the craziest stories from their position behind the bar.

From personal experience, my first few “Nights On Northgate” could have used some advice from a few of my now favorite bars. I’ve decided that we need to allow our listeners to listen to the point of view from a few of our favorite bars so they know what they’re getting themselves into.  

With over 30 bars on Northgate, we’ve decided to keep the last two we will speak with a secret from our listeners. You might hear about the Buzz Button shot from The Dragonfly, how to handle the “mother pucker” from The Spot, seeing the rattlesnake and playing dominoes at The Chicken, or dancing the night away at the freshman-infested Shiner Park.
