This is the last episode of my podcast trilogy. Thank you so much for following me on this journey till now. This last episode will catch you up to the present day of my life and talk about what led me to this point. I go into detail about my divorce and how I was treated during it. I bring up the emotional and mental stress I felt while still living in the house prior to me finally asking for the divorce. I also talk about my roommate and how he was there for me through the whole process. He joins me to answer a question I have personally just for him, and is my final guest of the series.

For those who have or will go through similar situations, it is hard. It will break you down as a person and test your strength. Do not let anyone, ever make you feel like you are less of a person! Stay strong to who you are and you will come out stronger than ever. I have included a link to the mental health crisis services website incase you, or anyone you know need to reach out or need help while going through a hard time.

The theme of this is that it is okay, to not be okay. Sometimes, we need a little help, or support, and that is okay too. Again, thank you for following me on this personal journey and as always, I hope you enjoy.

Continuing on from episode 1, we are diving in further about my life post Texas State. It was hard for me to accept that one of my own parents did not understand what had happened to me from a medical standpoint. Depression and anxiety are real and can affect anyone at any point in their life! The effects it can have on you vary and it is draining. It is hard when you do not have anyone around you to go to, and you feel all alone.

Fast forward and I am living in College Station. I found my husband here at Blinn college where I had to take a detour before arriving at Texas A&M. Everything seemed to be going great until it was not. Things were falling apart and yet again I felt alone because my partner, the person who was supposed to support me through everything, was not doing that. Instead I was tore down and criticized and it was hard to keep going every day. I tried to push past it though and remain happy.

I started an Etsy shop to take my mind off of it and occupy myself but that only helped for so long. Through this hard spring, my best friend Blake helped me and was there for me every step of the way. I brought him on this episode to answer a couple questions and I am so thankful for him so I hope you guys enjoy!

Life after high school can be a confusing time for young adults. Follow me as I take you on my life’s journey right after high school till present day. This first episode covers my time at Texas State University as well the trials and tribulations I faced internally. Parents and adults do not realize how much stress high school students and young adults face when it comes time to making the decision to pursue college after high school, or to wait a year or so before attending. Some young adults feel pressured into going to college after high school because they do not want to disappoint their parents, which can put them in an awkward spot, like it did for me.

It is important to note some young adults are not emotionally and mentally mature enough to enter college right after high school and that is okay! Some people just need more time trying to figure out who they are in this big world. I do not think people should be pushed into something they are not comfortable with because it can be drastically life changing for them or traumatizing. Mental health can play a big role in young adults who are going through a life-changing event, and going off to college is included in this!

I bring on a guest, my best friend Ariana, to answer a couple questions about the stigma behind feeling like you have to go to college right after high school. I hope you guys enjoy as I get personal and talk about my life!
