This photo shows what all went in between the wines by including the title of Busted Oak Cellars, their logo, and of course, their motto.

If you enjoyed episode one of In Between the Wines, you won’t want to miss episode two! In episode two, I sit down with the Cooke’s who own Busted Oak Cellars. The owners and I focus on what it takes to open not only just a winery, but your own business. Sherrie and Patrick will share their story of tenacity, hard work, and risk taking, which paid off. As a listener, you’ll enjoy hearing about their path and what goes into operating a successful winery. The Cooke’s and I will also touch on what it takes to be an outstanding and dependable boss to younger employees and what it takes to work with employees that have conflicting schedules, like college courses.

Gaining information from business owners that have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly is so important to young entrepreneurs. I have high hopes that this podcast will be a great starting point for those that have interests in the beginning stages of opening a business. The Cooke’s also go into detail on their thoughts behind the construction of building their winery and certain important aspects they thought about when designing it. Busted Oak Cellars also offers airbnb and venue style options. We have the opportunity to find out what their thoughts behind including those were as well. Stay tuned for episode two of In Between The Wines.

In this episode I sit down with Bailey and Devin who work at Busted Oak Cellars. Devin, Bailey and I dive right in and talk about everything in between the wines. Including the fairly confusing terminology of wine and what it entails. Tune in to episode 1 to learn about the science of wine. We’re going to talk about blending grape characteristics. We’ll talk about what wine is best, which is a loaded question. Lastly, we’ll talk different wine pairings (it’s important to know what type of wine to drink and when to drink it, not that you need an excuse).

When explaining the process of wine creation, we’re going to talk about the color and how that differs from wines. We also mention the texture and how different wines will feel on your palette, the numerous different flavors, because not everyone will have an acquired taste for Pinot Noir or Tempranillo right off the bat, and of course the wide range of types of wines. If you’re unfamiliar with wine, and everything in between, this podcast is right up your alley. I look forward to educating you guys through this podcast.   I hope you won’t have to face the embarrassment of asking your waiter what wine is the sweetest, driest, best pairing, etc. at an upscale restaurant with all of your colleagues and your boss’s boss’s boss.

This photo captures an aesthetic view of everything in between the wines with the background as a field of flowers and also includes great pairings such as cheese and fruit on a plate.
