Episode 2

Howdy, y’all! I hope you truly enjoyed episode one with Kaitlin and me. On today’s episode, I will be featuring a new guest, my grandmother. My grandmother, Sally Guyton, is currently a professor at Texas A&M University. Nonni (Sally) is from Austin, Texas. She teaches business finance and absolutely loves what she does. I wanted to bring Nonni on because she touches thousands of students’ lives every year. If there is anyone to gather wisdom from it is her. We are planning on discussing the differences between college life now and when she was in school, dating, and financial advice.

Nonni is happily married and has built a beautiful and successful life for herself. There is truly no one I would trust advice or guidance from more than her. She loves what she does and has a passion for people. Being the head of our family, none of us would be where we are without her. She has gotten me through all the good and bad times in life. She has supported me in every aspect of my life.

With Nonni, one of the topics I would like to discuss with her is if she could go back and give her college self advice what would it be? From asking adults this in the past, I have learned some valuable lessons so I want my listeners to have the same opportunity. I also believe in learning from those who have been there before you. Nonni has gone through all the things that I would need help with at this age. I think she has so much to offer our generation. Not everyone has these types of people to look up to in their lives. I want to share her joy and wisdom with all of you guys through this episode.

 Episode 1

On today’s first episode of To Girls From Girls podcast, I will be introducing myself and my first guest! My first guest is Kaitlin Smith. Kaitlin is a Texas A&M University Animal Science alumni, WHOOP! I met her through the women’s agriculture sorority I was in for a year. She now has her post-grad job as a customer service representative for a cattle reproduction company called ReproLogix. I wanted Kaitlin to be one of my first guests on here because me being new to the agriculture industry. She has been a huge role model to me and has been very generous with her time to teach me about it.

To those of you who are not in the agriculture field and are wondering how this will interest you, agriculture puts the food on the table in front of you and the clothes on your back so I think everyone can benefit from learning more about this industry.

After I get done introducing Kaitlin and myself, we will start discussing the overall topic of this episode which is college love life or lack thereof! Both of us are single and happy, but also wondering what happened to the idea we were introduced to at a young age that we would find our husbands in college. Yes of course we have all dated throughout college but clearly ended up with no winners. So have times and generations just changed that much over the years or are we just down on our luck?

Whether you are single or in a relationship while in college, we have some advice for you. Kaitlin and I definitely barely scratched the surface of this topic. So, if you would like us to dig in a little deeper or share some of those failed dating stories reach out to me on my socials!
