To kick off my first episode of, “And that’s my story!” I had Lauren Grace on the show. Lauren Grace is a sophomore at Texas A&M University majoring in Animal Science. Lauren hopes to one day become a small animal vet! She is my best friend and college roommate. We often share meals, conversion and funny videos or SNL skits together. Lauren is my go-to. She is an incredible listener and is so comforting when you just need someone to talk to.

Lauren Grace diving deep into those around you    In this episode, Lauren opens up to me about a home invasion her and her family encountered. Lauren describes how much this has impacted her mental health and how she now views the people around her. As I was talking to Lauren, I realized she is one of the strongest people I know, and I truly believe it is due to this incident.

I hope this episode inspires you to dig a little deeper into the lives around you, because you never know what people’s stories might be. As Lauren said, this whole incident might have been avoided if they would have known what was going on in the intruder’s head, possibly just by asking him. Lauren also shares with me that he only got 10 years’ probation, which is not exactly the peace they were looking for.

Although Lauren still struggles with this, she has changed into someone who really probes at her loved ones to make sure they are doing okay. This episode is seriously inspiring! You can listen to it on the Apple Podcast app by searching AGCJ 366. You can also click on the link below! I hope you get something from this incredible story of Lauren Grace! Remember friends, it is so important to get to know those around you. People’s lives and journeys might affect you more than you know it!
