Food waste is a major issue in America, and a sizable portion of it occurs within our own homes! The good news is that you can reduce much of that waste with relative ease. In this first episode, you’ll get to take a trip into the foundation of economical kitchen tricks: Stocks.

Stocks (sometimes called broths), are really simple to make, but many people don’t know how to make them. Instead, they opt to buy far more expensive and far less tasty broths from the grocery store.

Stocks can be used in a variety of ways, turning even the most boring foods into gourmet meals.

In addition, you can use stocks in a variety of ways, turning normally-boring dishes into exciting meals that anyone can enjoy.

In the span of 10 minutes, you’ll learn:

  • How to make broths at home
  • Vegetable stocks vs bone broths
  • Where to get the ingredients
  • When and where to make broths

If you like this episode, you can check out the next episode, where we go into food storage and leftover use. Kitchen conservation tricks can save you time and money in the long run, all while helping fight the global food waste epidemic.
