In this episode, we talk about how dangerous wolves can be, especially when it’s a story like this.
Horror in the Canadian Outback
A family of four went camping in Canada and their trip turned into a scene from a horror movie.
A New Jersey woman named Elisa Rispoli and her husband Matthew Rispoli with their two little boys took a hiking and camping trip in Canada at Rampart Creek Campground. In the middle of the night, a lone wolf tore into their tent looking for a midnight snack.
Matthew sprung out of his bag and jumped in front of the wolf trying to protect his family. The wolf grabbed him and started to drag him away.
The boys were screaming in fear. His wife Elisa tried to grab him and pull him back into the remnants of the tent.
Matthew tried to pin the wolf to the ground. Instead, the wolf got the best of him, rolled him over, and bit into his arm.
Elisa stated I was pulling on his legs trying to get him back,”. “I cannot and don’t think I’ll ever be able to properly describe the terror.”
During the commotion of the attack, a nearby hunter Russ Feeran over as fast as he could to help out with the situation. He described the situation as a horror movie as Matthew was dragged away in the dark.
Russ ran up to the wolf and kicked it as hard as he possibly could in the head. The kick startled the wolf. It let go of Matthew leaving him covered in blood on his left side.
Matthew and Russ started screaming and throwing rocks at the wolf to scare it away from the campsite. Elsia said the incident only lasted a couple of minutes but felt like an eternity.
Matthew was taken to the hospital for bodily injury to his hands and arms but will recover fully.
The campsite was shut down for a week, and the wolf was hunted during that period of time for public safety.
