Hey fashionistas!
Our first episode of The Fashion Bible Podcast launches today, and we couldn’t be more excited! Firstly, I would like to thank you to all my listeners for joining me on this journey. In this episode I brought along my sorority sister and the president of our chapter Presley Wirebaugh. Us both being part of the sorority scene at Texas A&M we have a bit of a different point of view since our sorority is a professional agriculture sorority. So basically, we are country girls wearing golden gooses, which pretty much sums up most girls in SEC schools.
I am sure you are all on tik tok and remember the viral sensation of Bama Rush this past August. Freshman at SEC schools like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and other schools documented each day through a mini vlog. Usernames like @dollypartonwannabe, @whatwouldjimmybuffettdo and @haygoldenrayofsunshine were the most popular and have each gone their own ways now. The typical vlog started off as saying what round of rush it was and titled OOTD (outfit of the day). The girls would then tell us where each part of their outfit was from and sometimes tag the stores/boutiques in the captions. It was done subconsciously, and they soon started becoming brand ambassadors for boutiques and would receive merchandise in the mail and make tik toks about what they got.
To give my listeners a little background I want to give a brief description of how I would explain mine and my first guest Presley’s style. I am from a small town outside of Austin, Texas so I have always been a city girl for the most part. My favorite places to shop are Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Giddy Up Glamour Boutique, TJMaxx and ASOS. I love to keep up with the trends, but I also love timeless fashion. Presley’s favorite places to shop are Sabi, Threads and Giddy Up Glamour. She would describe her style as preppy and colorful. She enjoys accessorizing with headbands, statement jewelry and pieces with vibrant colors and unique fabrics.
