Life after high school can be a confusing time for young adults. Follow me as I take you on my life’s journey right after high school till present day. This first episode covers my time at Texas State University as well the trials and tribulations I faced internally. Parents and adults do not realize how much stress high school students and young adults face when it comes time to making the decision to pursue college after high school, or to wait a year or so before attending. Some young adults feel pressured into going to college after high school because they do not want to disappoint their parents, which can put them in an awkward spot, like it did for me.

It is important to note some young adults are not emotionally and mentally mature enough to enter college right after high school and that is okay! Some people just need more time trying to figure out who they are in this big world. I do not think people should be pushed into something they are not comfortable with because it can be drastically life changing for them or traumatizing. Mental health can play a big role in young adults who are going through a life-changing event, and going off to college is included in this!

I bring on a guest, my best friend Ariana, to answer a couple questions about the stigma behind feeling like you have to go to college right after high school. I hope you guys enjoy as I get personal and talk about my life!
